On the first impressions side, this is a family owned establishment that discourages tipping and takes a public stand against all forms of discrimination. For this we applaud them.
The food and service. Solid all round.
We don’t usually go too much into the brewery side of micro-brew pubs, but here we would make mention that the beers are excellent and the “imported” cider gets a special nod as it is strong enough to be served over ice, as cider should be, without losing its punch.
The only down side was the special poutine we tried. It had far too many ingredients, to the point that, in all honesty, it lost its Quebec identity and became more like a Canadian chop suey.
Good vegetarian selection.
