Finding an open restaurant in Calgary on a holiday is like looking for a pork chop at at bar mitzvah buffet. So it was that one holiday Monday, we were wondering around looking for a place to eat and happened upon Parthenon. What a find! Now it is decorated with the white and blue trim and painted seascapes that seem to be obligatory for any Calgary Greek restaurant, but moving beyond the decor, we found friendly, knowledgeable staff serving dishes made almost totally in house and prepared with just the right amount of seasoning. They gladly will prepare you a vegetarian combo.
We recommend first timers try the dinner for two (or more).
