Boogie's Burgers

Hamburgers     Informal  (To be honest, we don't think there is a "formal" burger joint in the city, though we suppose some high end restaurant somewhere is willing and able to charge people a fortune to get a burger totally befreft of any real sloppy burgericity.)     908 Edmonton Tr. The setting is small and crowded, but bright and very hamburgery. They proclaim they have been making the biggest burgers in town since 1969. And who are we to disagree? They are big. In fact they are served with a knife stuck in the middle, as cutting them at least in half does seem to be the best way to devour them. And therein lies the problem. Yes, a good burger should have a bit of drip and drop from it, but these just didn't seem to hold together well—both the bun and the patty falling apart in one's hands. The product is good; the flavour is enticing, and the fries and other incidentals are well-produced, but as someone at our table said, "Great, but no wow factor." (And no, Don, in this case "wow" does not equal "World of Warcraft".)
