The food is local, fresh and freshly cooked. You can get an excellent beer brewed locally. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is pure, pleasant pub. What more could you want? Well there are great speciality dishes like poutine and a bucket of bacon, and you can even buy jars of preserves like pickled beets to take home with you. And they actually use bread and buns that support, compliment and hold together with the burgers and sandwiches they serve. So for all those who say you can't serve quality food at a pub in Calgary, well, District proves you wrong. The only downside for lazy people is that to save trees they don't give you a menu, and that means you actually have to get up and walk around looking at the menu boards on the walls, chatting with others and enjoying yourself in the process. And remember you will need that exercise if you eat the poutine.
