The atmosphere here is pure 17 Avenue: modern, bright and a little noisy. But the food covers a much larger base—the Pacific ocean, with influences from Asia to Hawaii, California to British Columbia. And the food is excellent. I would say for the first timers, “Don’t just read the names of the offerings on the menu; read the descriptions as well to get a better idea of what is in store. For example, the “House Spam” doesn’t have any Spam in it. And also, don’t be fooled by the size of some of the plates. Our noodle dish was rather TARDIS like—much larger on the inside. Yes, and don’t forget the spiffy drinks for which the site is well known around Calgary. And be alert; the Baked Hula is just plain huge. Grant actually offered to share it, and Grant seldom shares.
