So put on you Dora the Explorer hat and head down the alley behind Metrovino on 11 Ave. SW. But that adventure is worth it. The setting puts you in a small bistro hidden away in Italy, and the pizza keeps you there. The atmosphere, the service and the pies are all excellent.
Just a small cultural note: I know that my Italian friends will remind me that back home no one would eat a pizza with their fingers, no more than one would eat an apple pie that way. But here in Canada, that’s the way we do it. So there!
They don’t have gluten free items yet as they haven’t been able to concoct a crust that truly compares with their standard one. The same goes for vegan substitutes
They don’t take reservations, but they do have a waitlist during the busiest hours.
