We always enjoy a review that contains a certain amount of controversy. This one does. The setting was delightfully current eclectic; the staff were friendly and informed, and the menu was a delight. Our visit was at an off time just for drinks with friends staying at the hotel, and that may have set the stage for our problem. You see, just enjoying the food would have given this spot a high rating for quality, originality and taste. But the service was abominable! We begged for a menu, and were finally given one, but with no follow up to ask if we actually wanted to order anything. Even the drinks took forever. Now some in the party were willing to forgive the tardiness because of the mid–afternoon hour, others were not. So what you see above is a compromise score. Perhaps this is a place you will just have to try for yourselves to see what you discover.
